Goal

Engage DC agencies and departments, DC residents, business and community stakeholders, regional and federal partners so that they are all better prepared to address the realities, implications and areas for improvement in planning and responding to severe weather in the District of Columbia.


Objectives

    • Educate participants on the District’s and community’s abilities to prepare and respond to severe weather.
    • Provide awareness of the realities and implications of severe weather events as well as actions that can be taken by DC stakeholders to mitigate the consequences related to severe weather.
    • Provide the opportunity for District stakeholders to identify alternatives and improvements that can be made during severe weather events.
    • Increase participants’ knowledge and awareness of the value and importance of planning and coordination to the District and the community.
